The rooms

Antiques, wicker, and claw-foot tubs

Rooms are dressed with antiques, decorative artwork and wicker. Many of the bathrooms still have their original claw-foot tubs and antique “pillbox” commodes, and each room has a hair dryer. Wi-Fi reaches throughout the building.

You can choose a room with a private bathroom en suite — a queen bed, a king, or two singles — or one of our European-style rooms, which have a bed and a wash-stand in the room and a full bathroom down the hall.

A note for wheelchair users

Our small hotel, built in 1913, is listed in the National Register of Historic Places as a Contributing Building in the Lower Nob Hill Apartment Hotel District. An evaluation survey by a Certified Access Specialist (CASp) concluded that it is not technically feasible to eliminate the front steps at the entrance, or to provide a compliant alternative means of access for those who use wheelchairs.

We are not able to accommodate guests who use wheelchairs, and we would rather say so here than have you find out on the doorstep.
